About Us
Established in June 2025 by John & Victoria Huitson-Broom, Grimsby Event Medical Services Ltd (or GEMS as we like to call it) is a private medical supplier with a focus on supporting events of all types within a 2.5 hour radius of North East Lincolnshire.
John, a qualified First Responder, comes from an emergency services background having served 21 years as a Coastguard Rescue Officer in the Hull area. Victoria, also qualified as a first responder, holds a degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy and heads up the GEMS Welfare Operation for both our staff and members of the public.
We have recently started offering First Aid at Work, Oxygen Therapy and Catastrophic Bleed Control courses. These are delivered by a certifed trainer and can be on customer sites or from our premises. Please contact us for more information.

- First Responder Level 3 (FREC 3)
- First Responder Level 4 (FREC 4)
- Emergency Care Assistants
- Ambulance Technicians
- Nurses
- Paramedics
We can also provide the following facilities:
- Medical Gazebo including separate treatment room.
- Rapid Response Vehicles (4x4 and Estate Car)
- Ambulance & Crew on request
